Another one who looooves the Ergo. and I would chose it over a Baby Bjorn any day. If only for the fact that bub sits in the Ergo and dangles in the BB, which is bad for the developin spine. I have also heard from people that have both that the BB is way les comfortable than the Ergo. So, I guess, if you don't plan on wearing your bub much, the BB will probably do you just fine. But if you do end up wearing your bub a bit more, the investment will be well worth it. And I agree with PP, if I had my time again, I would save the money I spent on a pram and spend it on a HAB for the early days and an Ergo from 6 months on. As it happens, I bought both and the pram, but the pram is mainly used by my in-laws.

Oh, and for comfort, I found that with both, Ergo and Hug-a-Bub, they're most comfortable when they're as tight as possible. And DD feels the most secure and comfy, too. She loves to be snuggled tightly. This way, she doesn't pull too much forward and most of her weight is on my hips, rather than her hanging off my shoulders.

As for the nappy bag question: I went overseas when DD was 6 months and had to juggle nappy bag and bub. I actually ditched the nappy bag in favour of a backpack. It is actually quite easy to carry a backpack on your back while carrying bub on the front. I felt a bit like a mule, but it wasn't too bad. The security checks were a pain, though as I had to take everything off, carry DD through and then put everything back on.

Be honest who works for Ergo?

I am very suspicious when I read this forum chat that someone or more than one person works for Ergo. It just seems too one sided for me.Suspicious Mum

Well I'm annoyed if someone on here does work for Ergo. For all the talking we do about them here on BB we should all be getting a discount

Trish, you're so right. Well, I don't work for Ergo, either. But I bloody well should be on their payroll. And also on Hug-A-Bubs. Cause I constantly get asked: "oh, that looks like such a good carrier, where did you get it" I bet I've "sold" a few for them. it seems like everybody knows me in our local shopping centre (the Hippie Baby-Wearing mummy) And the butcher even has a nickname for DD: he only refers to her as "Joey".

Sorry Moogie - you just have a suspicious mind. I could however be a salesperson for HAB as well with the amount of positive feedback I have given them None of us work for them. We just have found a carrier that suits our needs and we are happy to tell others why. As Suse said - she bagged them out so it isn't completely one sided Each to their own.
