I can comfortably carry my 4 year old (18 kg) in my beetlebum half buckle or full buckle.
We use Babyhawk Oh-snap here and love it.
You will find most SLINGS aren't designed to carry older/heavier children, you will need to switch to a mei tei style carrier, like the ones the girls mentioned above.
I use and Ergo still occasionally for my 3 year old, she is 14kgs.
I used a mei-tei 'ToddlerHawk' for my youngest till he was 13kg, but could have worn him longer if he let me LOL. The Toddlerhawk was rated to carry a toddler up to 40lbs I think - so 20kgs, which is huge.
