Our speechy has told us to start weaning off the thumb. The tongue thrust reflex needed to suck can interfere with speech development and cause lisps.
Its hard aye? can you try putting a bandaid on her thumb and taking it off for sleep time?
    Good luck

I would get her ears checked too, my DD sucks her thumb much more when has ear issues but never complains has a temperature or anything, just sucks thumb more and acts up more - and ears can definitely cause speech issues.

But I am sure that my daughter who is also a very good talker and very clear despite her thumb sucking (always getting comments because she hasn't developed inner monologue yet and is always "What is that lady doing", "Where is that man going", "What is that man wearing on his head" etc) also did this where at around 2 she seemed to go backwards a bit with her talking - it didn't last long maybe a few weeks and I think was around the time DS was born.

We also make her take thumb out to talk to us, and she really only ever speaks with it in if she is tired or upset.
