Yup I hate sleepless nights like that. We sorta go by the rule that if DS is waking up every hour (which he sometimes does) and he does it more than three times in a row, its not his normal behaviour and we usually give him a dose of panadol and a small drink of milk or water in a sippy cup.
That usually settles him for a few more hours at least. His problem usually is his teeth though, he does wake up during the night from being cold, or losing his dummy, but not every hour IYKWIM?
Jordie, I hear you! My DD slept through from 8 weeks old and then it suddenly stopped when she was 4.5 months then she woke every hour during the night until about 6 months. Unsure what it was, couldn't work it out. Now she is 7 months old and wakes at 10.30pm and then 2.30am for a cry/whinge but I settle her quickly at these times. If she won't settle, I give her panadol. She'll wake at 5am now for her bottle when she used to go through until 7am. This has only been happening the last week and I'm not used to getting up on cold mornings lol
Anyway, I really hope it gets better for you soon but I know what you mean! I think I was spoilt from when she was 8 weeks old and then when she stopped sleeping through, I was really shocked, sometimes I think it would have been better if she never slept through because I miss it!
I am thinking it's either teeth (my DD's bottom teeth came through at 4 months but I've been waiting for her top two to come through!) or maybe developmental??
My advice, try and sleep through the day when she does. I had to do that to catch up on sleep I lost through the night because the lack of sleep was really affecting me.

Hi Jordie, I feel you on this... my son always had trouble sleeping when he's teething, what I usually do is give his gums a rub of bonjela, he hates it being put on but settles him once it comes through. And then he'll feed better and sleep.
Teething is very stressful and IMO, the two front teeth is the most painful ones to grow, hence, they can't sleep amidst the pain... so hang in there, it'll pass!!!
Oh you poor thing . I'm guessing it' most likely teething too, I can't tell you if she'll go back to sleeping normally again though! I think every baby is different.
Breastmilk gives two hours of pain relief which is probably why she is waking 2 hourly. Are you giving her anything like Panadol? I've also heard there are some teething tablets you can buy that are meant to be fantastic.
Sorry I'm not much help, I just wanted to give you some sympathy .
