Charlie's dummy has been attached to his sleeping bag now for 12months & it works great for us. He only on very rare occasions gets confused & can't find it......not often at all. He can always find it & it works for us, if you want to take the dummy away that's fine...just the suggestion for if you wish to keep it. You do what works for you, some people like them & some don't. Charlie only has it for sleep so I'm not worried atm.
