Yes, same here - DD has strawberry blond/reddish hair and we have NO IDEA where it came from.

People often comment on it especially as I have very dark brown/black hair which I thought would 'trump' DP's brown hair. We always tell people we'll get around to having a DNA test for DD one day

I never, ever imagined having a child with anything other than dark brown hair so DD's hair colour was a complete surprise. Love it though and goes really well with her brown eyes.

AND it's a bit curly too when DP and I both have very straight hair.
