Fiona ... my sister had a copper- red haired bub & she too thought they wouldn't be able to so she looked into it ... one of her friends studied Genetics (i think) and said in order to have a red-haired child both parents (say that don't have red-hair themselves) of that child must EACH have a red-haired relative, even generations back ... i found this very interesting ... My Mum confirmed OUR great-great-grandmother had red hair !!
*** Hey Fiona just thought i'd add ... both my parents have very straight hair yet they had two DD's (including me) with very curly hair (turns out the only relo that had curly hair was my Grandfather (my Dad's father) !!!
