on the singlet talk I use size 2 for Felix even though he's a 00 in pants (lol) and a 1 in tops, because he a REALLY long waist and I hate singlets hanging out...perfect..

I don't really have the "usual child" but I would advise against buying too much ahead of time(like me), because your child's growth patterns aren't always predictable..Felix spent 1 month in 0000, 1 month in 000 and 6-10 months in 00 clothes, he is yet to grow into the 0 pants he has! I ahve all these size 1 winter clothes I bough at sales or because I liked them sitting in his cupboard because I bought ahead of time and didn't want to buy small..
