Marisa has been to GymbaROO from early on, and we love it! Elijah will be going too next term.
GymbaROO is franchised and all centres are run differently, I have heard some people didn't think much of their local centres while others love them to bits. The beauty of franchising! So check out your local centre for a bit or perhaps have a trial before you sign up for a term.
Anyway, the two centres I have been to in Melbourne (now we have moved) have been great. It is structured with playtime, floor time (consists of songs, dancing, word of the day - which is part of a theme per term etc.). I have no doubt that it's one of the main reasons Marisa is so strong, co-ordinated and I feel it really does help with learning skills.
The one I go to now is great, they even bring in real examples of the word of the day. Once the teacher brought in a mouse for the kids to see and hold, cupcakes for them to eat, candles to blow out etc. Of course parents go and are interactive with the kids, obviously you have to watch them! But it's great fun. Now I have Elijah, I send dad off with Marisa so it's good bonding time for them - funnily enough Saturday classes seem to be daddy days - the dads often take the kids!
They start from 6 weeks and go up to 5 years, I would say definitely go for it!![]()
