Baby's screaming makes me want to vomit

DS has had this awful scream since birth that gets inside your head and makes you feel physically sick. Forawhile, dh was wearing headphones at home. it really sucks.

something to do with the pitch maybe

whatever it is f in awful. i sure hope he changessoon

*hugs* a babies cry is made to do that. They are hard wired into our minds that when we hear our child cry it is made to make us feel terrible so we respond and fix it straight away.
its cruel, but a survival thing. DD has one particular cry she does when she is in pain or really really tired, that just breaks my heart and I start crying instantly. I hate that cry. but she does it cause she needs me then and now.

    I get it too.
I've dry retched before. But I think mine is link to anxiety.
And like TT, it's usually when DS is over tired.

I get it still even when it's not my baby and even when it's a teeny cry. I have to stop my whole body from lurching to try and fix it. Kind of embarrassing when you do that whole facial body language thing when it's not your baby lol. Everyone teases me about it :/

Gosh, happens to me too...especially in the supermarket if I hear a baby crying I just want to race and find it and cuddle it. I get all stressed hearing babies crying - mine or others...

I've had to leave shopping centres because babies were so distressed it was really upsetting me. I can't concentrate on anything else when a baby is sad

I have has 3 boys and our last ds's cry was like that. It was a horrible pitch and it made your head sore. It has gotten better.

Thank you. It is not all babies, my DD was also high needs/colic/screamy baby but i didn't get the same feeling that i get when DS cries.

I have this problem with DD2 also and it is definitely a pitch issue because mostly she screams/squeals out of excitement rather than a distress thing.

I'm not sure when it gets better as it seems to be worse here as DD2 gets bigger and plays more with DD1 because that seems to get her all riled up lol.
