    Thanks everyone!

I was worried how a stroller would go on the rough terrain. We have a hiker style backpack that we were thinking of taking, but the only problem is that he won't be able to sleep in that. I was thinking of getting a 2nd hand ergo or similar so at least if he fell asleep he'd be comfy. Although, I imagine he'd get pretty hot in an ergo.
We will be staying at the Dynasty and are going with some friends who go twice a year so they should know all the good places to eat. DS is pretty good with rice and noodles and spicy foods etc so hopefully he'll be fine.
I'm just a little worried as it's my first time overseas and I don't know what to expect!
Is the water safe to wash bottles/sippy cups in? Is there anything (apart from probiotics) I can give the kids to help prevent them getting sick?

Thanks for your advice. I'm sure I'll be right once we're there but for now it's a bit of a freakout!

as long as you drink bottled water they shouldn't get sick. just be careful of the pool because They over chlorinate it because of all the guests and in the month we spent there the only problem we had was when DS went underwater and then got a temp.... But we gave him panadol and he got over it with the cups, wash in bottle water ...it's probably easier to get him drinking through pop tops etc as they are available at the circle K's and it's hard keeping water etc cool over there, so you"ll always be stopping to refill etc. DS drank out of normal water bottles over there for the first time....

also DS dropped off to sleep in our arms at certain points in the day and slept longer because of the heat
So be prepared to take turns staying in the room at nap time.... DH doesn't sit still in Bali so found this hard....

And DS was sticky and sweaty all the time. He lived in singlets and shorts.... And sunscreen, don't forget a hat, swim shirt etc, bubble....make sure the cot will be in the room... And take lots to keep them occupied at the airports. DS slept on the plane because I kept him up so long....

most of all Enjoy your trip...and don't forget all those kids DVDs you can get for only $1. we bought 40 for DS and already we can't wait to add more to his collection..and the adult ones.... on poppies two. Near bounty hotel is the best place to buy good quality DVD's and bargain bargain bargain....

wow I want to go book my trip now

We went with DD (17months last dec) and DH made me pack a mini slow cooker LOL!! Only the first day that DD wanted to eat the soup I made for her, then we couldn't be bothered coz she didn't even touch it. She lost her appetite - because of the hot and humid weather I guess - and when she felt like eating she'd have whatever we had. Anyway I always had bread, crackers, bottled water and fruit juice in our car in case she's hungry. We bought milk in local supermarket too. I also made sure that we washed the cups and spoons with bottled water.

We took DD's stroller and eventhough it was easier for DH to carry her, it's still useful for a stroll at the beach and especially when we went shopping at the mall.

Btw we shopped at Matahari Galeria Mall - when they're on sale, they're cheap!! I bought DD's pretty dresses and shoes for around 50.00-100.000 Rp, that's around $6-$11!

    Hope you have good trip
