Bit expensive sometimes, but Bunikins wraps are quite ample, and you can get them from target, so possible sale item?? I have one that is my favorite, it's a waffle knit style one

I also went off to spotlight and graped 5 metres of a light flannel material, and cut some to size. I haven't edged them yet, but I understand an overlocker is really good to do that with.

If those big w ones are good though I think it's probably cheaper to buy them, as good material is quite often expensive, and never on sale when you want it to be.

Sounds like making them might be the best bet. So which do you guys prefer - hemmed or overlocked edges? Personally I prefer hemmed edges so little fingers don't get caught in loose threads. I'm not sure what my friend likes, will have to ask her!

If i were giving it as a gift I would hem.

if it were for myself I would only overlock

But if your feeling really energetic, doing both means that if the hem comes down, the edges don't fray.

I hemmed mine, but I'm making some as a gift and I'm going to use satin bias around the edges.

    satin bias around the edges
Lovely idea. When I was a tiny tot my "maccy" which was my sucky blanket (a wrap with satin edging!) was my best companion. I used to run the satin under my nose as I sucked my thumn to put myself to sleep.........
