I don't think any of my kids could blow out their candle at 1, I've always done it and I've made a wish for them. We have a thing that on the 1st birthday, after the candle is blown out, that they can take a bite out of the side of the cake or grab a handful of cake. I love watching them get grubby whilst enjoying their first ever birthday cake

By 2 they were able to blow it out though.
