    Brauer's "Calm" Remedy

Just curious if anyone has used this and had success with it? It was recommended to me by the chemist for settling Peter when we are travelling o/s if needed.

I'm a little confused because it says you need to give a dose each half hour for the first two hours....what if he's fallen asleep in the meantime? I wouldn't wake him to give him more. But will it still work??

I have used it before with my two when travelling o/s. To be honest, I dont know if it really worked or not. They werent terribly unsettled on the plane anyway but I kept up the dosage.

Personally, if your little one has fallen asleep, I would leave him that way. Then just give him the missed dosage when he wakes up if you feel he needs it.

I believe it works, but DD used to fall asleep on the plane as it was taxing to the runway. And she'd sleep the whole flight. Do the first doses while you are waiting to board, while he's awake, so he's calm before you get on the flight, and just top him up every 2/4 hours (whatever it says). Now just because its herbal, doesn't mean its not dangerous. You must follow the directions. If he misses one of the first four doses, you can't make it up. Just go onto the next scheduled dose, even if its a few hours away. And don't use two Brauers products at the same time, as you'd be double dosing on ingredients. Best to talk to your pharmacist of nurse.

Make sure he has his comfort toy/blanket etc and dummy, as he'd need these more.
