When we were having sleep issues with DD1 I used a combo do brauers sleep and magnesium spray, as wll as some lavender oil on a cloth in her room.
We also gave her a sleep night/day clock so she coud understand when she could get up, we gave tat o her t 18 months

i wonder if that would work for your DD ss_storm? your DD is a pretty bright little girl so she might really grasp the concept well?

we're quite lucky with DS these days but when he does wake before 6 i bring him into our bed or jump into his bed & tell him it's too early & we are going to lie quietly. it means that i'm up from whenever it is (because i can never get back to sleep) but i've given up trying to get him back to sleep if it's 5 or after.

We've got one of these too, and it really does help with staying in bed till a reasonable time. For the longest time DS would wake to start the day somewhere between 4.30am and 5.30am. Now he knows he has to stay in bed until the sun comes up (I have it set for 6am, but he often sleeps a bit longer). But that said we do still occassionally have the insomnia problem, he knows he should be sleeping, wants to be sleeping, but just can't get to sleep.
