I take DS to them regularly but find I need to sit at the bottom so he can crawl around....he loves it though. Sometimes I sit there with him. He doesn't like it when we sit towards the top as he can't move around!!!!
It's been a long time since I took DD to a cry baby session at the cinema but I have two friends with newborns so I'm thinking it would be a good thing to do.
But I'm not sure how DD will handle it - when she was really little it was fine, but now she's 8 months old I think she may be antsy. Yes, I know this sounds a bit silly because the idea is to watch the film EVEN IF your baby is crying but I hate the thought of DD being bored for 1.5 hours just so I can watch a movie.
Has anyone else taken an older baby to the pictures and if so, did you find your baby was happy to look at the screen/at you etc?
DD is crawling so I could put her on the floor but obviously then I'd probably be staring at the floor rather than the screen to make sure she wasn't straying too far.

Good tip - thanks Nat!
The times we've been there, most of the littlies have appeared to quite enjoy the experience, being in the semi dark, all those fun stairs, etc! I reckon you should just give it a go and see how you get on, and if it's a disaster, try again another day. Gotta keep your cinema up!![]()
I take Harrison all the time!!
Thankfully he has his nap around 10:30 which is the time that the Babes in Arms sessions start at my local cinema... Last week though, we went to see Drillbit Taylor which wasn't a babes session, and he was happy enough sitting on my lap, drinking his sippy cup and watching the movie... he even had a laugh during one funny scene.
Teach 'em young hey Lisa!![]()
You're right everyone. I should just go and stop over-analysing!
