Do you still 'tend to' your kids in the night? (Not kids under 2 yrs)

DS will wake and occasionally need his water bottle refilled or want his blanket put back on him (foggy head doesn't realise he can do it himself in the middle of the night i dont think). Other than that he doesn't really call out, he will get up and toilet himself. If he needed me I would certainly help but the kid adores his sleep as much as mum and dad love his attitude about it
DD on the other hand I assume will be very different as I am already tearing my hair out nightly

I am rarely up with my big girls.

DD1 is 4y9m and she has always been a good sleeper, apart from she has sleep apnoea, so I am up turning her into a better position to stop her obstructing however it rarely bothers her, it is second nature now and only takes a moment.

DD2 is 3 and she although she wasn't a good sleeper in the beginning she she was about 2 she has slept well overnight, at time she does have dream though, like last night were she cries in her sleep, it is difficult though because you can't calm here you just have to let it pass.

DD3 who is 17 months well thats a different story and then wait for the fun in 3 weeks when DS arrives

None of my children are night toilet trained, DD1 is incontinent day and night and will not be trained in the foreseeable future, DD2 is trained by day but not quite there yet at night so the night time fun will begin for me again soon with DD2 when she is out of night nappies.

Yeah, if he needs me to then I do. Usually if he wakes if it because he needs to go to the toilet or has had a bad dream. DS is almost 6. We do have a funny situation though as we are in a caravan while our house is getting built and so he really can't go to the toilet by himself at night or anything like that. He did used to like sleeping in our bed but we had to stop that because our bed in tiny (smaller than a normal double) and he is really wriggly and he cuddles up next to me fine but will stretch out and kick DH, which does not make for a happy family!

Yep because they are both great sleepers so I know something is up if they are up. Like last week we forgot DS 4yrs night nappy - cue crying in his sleep from being SOPPING wet, changing sheets, etc. I actually didn't hear him sobbing (poor love) but they share a room and DD yelled out - DS is cryinnnngggg and I can't sleep!

DD occasionally gets scared of the dark even with a night light in her room and sometimes wants to come into our bed, which we have worked hard to try and break because she just gets into a habit and DH and I can't sleep well with her there so we just resettle her and just turn on a light for her.
