We bought a bath seat (combined newborn/toddler seat) before DS was born...we tried using it once but it was too awkward and messy... Much easier letting him now sit in the tub (we bath him in the laundry sink - it's next to the kitchen so DH baths him while I get dinner or vice versa). We also bought a terry towelling newborn bath bouncer thingy which we used a few times but again, it was just easier without it.
