My first was exactly like that. And if I hear one more time people tell me it is because she was my first and I was inexperienced I'll scream (yes, people 'still' insist that is the reason she was so unsettled). I have been lucky with my next two, but I still remember in great detail the sheer exhaustion of dealing with my firstborn. If it is any consolation, she grew to be a fabulously easy toddler, whereas my DS1 who was an 'easy' (relatively speaking) baby is a terror of a toddler.
