I would let DS sleep on his belly from birth for his day naps when I could keep an eye on him. Otherwise he just wouldn't sleep! I'd persist at night tho until he hit about 4 months and completely refused to sleep on his back. He has been on his belly ever since. Even if I put him down on his back he'll half wake up and give me the rudest look ever and flip himself. They know what they want!
