I think if its still a scab it might be better to leave it for the moment - not 100% sure on that though, someone smarter than me can probably help

Once the scabs gone though, you could use vitamin E cream regularly to get rid of any scarring. Having said that, kid's skin is resilient, you may not even have a problem

The plastics Reg I work with recommends Vitamin E 3 times a day and to keep it out of the sunlight until fully healed. It may be white for a bit but should totally return to normal with time.

Having typed that, I would image it should heal normally on it's own. Think of all the spills you took as a kid - got any scars?

OW! I have a little accident prone moosh here, and we just use some bepathen to keep to skin soft and stop it getting infected (if it gets infected it can cause more trauma to the area and possibley scar).

Jazz doesn't have any scars though, despite the amount of times she's hit the deck. This kid has bounced off walls and concrete actually, a little like that icon ROFL!

I second the Vit E - internally and externally (you can break the capsule and rub the oil straight on). Also try your health food store for creams containing calendula (or even calendula essential oil - this one can be used undiluted) - this herb has excellent skin-healing properties. Best to wait til a good dry scab forms and keep her from picking at it (easier said than done!).

Oops - forgot to add that calendula is a natural antiseptic too
