hmmm you can't stop her moving (unless you put her in a straight jacket ).... i doubt its the 'moving' thats effecting her sleep, more her unique little personality... we put our dd in bed and let her sort herself out, sometimes she just moves about and plays, sometimes she kicks at the wall, sometimes she babbles, sometimes she miraculously goes to sleep.... personally i wouldn't be in there trying to restrain her from moving, i think it sends a bizarre message..... just leave her to her own devices and see how she goes... she is safe in her cot (presumably) so can do her no harm.... unless of course she is hysterical with anxiety...? she'll get there sooner or later, but we all have our ways of winding down - mine is rubbing my feet together in bed!!

at this age i definitely wouldn't be interfering, she will start sleeping if she is tired enough, and maybe she will be a child that takes a bit longer than others to wind down, but there's nothing wrong with that, and its something you need to not worry about... she will in the end sleep if she is tired enough, at some stage - often not when you want her to!!
