Ok this one isn't from strangers, but it is from random visitors who come to my house and rely's and it's my number #1 vein popper - "Are they STILL in the same room? When are you going to give them their own rooms?" - After that you can't have anymore, you've only got a 3 bedroom house! Ummm, I would have killed for a sibling to share my room with, that is why I went and crashed mum and Dads room every night till I was 5, and I want them in there together. What's with that anyway, don't entire families in poorer countries just live in a communal room, why am I so depriving a mother if my kids have to (or don't have to but I choose for them to) share a freaking room.

And of course the good ol' Are you going to try for a boy? From random old ladies at the supermarket

"How much does she weigh now?" [I don't know; I just count the fat rolls and assume she's ok]

"You must have a sore back/be tired" (babywearing) Hmph hmph hmph.

Why don't you just let him cry?

    How much does he weigh?

Whenever I mention anything like he isn't a big talker: the constant reassurance bugs me...I'm not worried!

But what do you do with the poo?! Coupled with a disgusted face when I mention cloth nappies.

You breastfeed every 2 hours?! No way, you're just giving him snacks (when he was only very little)

Parents whose kids who have night issues have only done that to themselves

    Is he sleeping through yet?

Are you trying for a girl next?

Do you ever put that kid down?

He's going to choke on that food (BLS)

When are you going to put him in his own room?/He still sleeps in your bed?

Hmmm ... let me see ...

    Are they all yours?

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

    Are any of them twins?

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

    Don't you own a TV?

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

Are you pregnant with number 5 yet?

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

How do you managed all of them on your own?

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

You must have your hands full ...

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

    Are you insane?

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

You must be a sucker for punishment ...

Have you figured out what causes them yet?

And also people who point to my kids, count to four loudly and look shocked.

And especially when people ask - "Have you figured out what causes them yet?"

    "are they twins?"
(I know my boys look alike, they are brothers, BUT they are TWO years apart, and when they are standing next to each other the older one is nearly twice the hieght of the two year old - not to mention, actually looks older. And yet you wouldn't believe the number of times I get this comment. )

But Just Me... have you figured it out yet? What a strange question - makes it sound like a disease.

oh twins- ( no they are triplets but there are only two of them- got funny looks at that answer)
are they identical?- ( no they are boy/girl)
but are they identical? ( one has a penis and one has a vagina!!!)
ooh they are small ( yes they are!!)
now i get - ooh they are big ( yes they are !! LOL)

and the best one was the most innocent- would you like bubba chinos for your babies as well - they were 10 weeks old!!! ( only if you have breastmilk chinos please) LOL

I think it is because I had them all within three and a half years of each other. I honestly feel like a walking freak show whenever we go out (especially when DH is not with me) because every second person says something to me about it

That, and everyone thinks they are a comedian and I haven't heard it approx 409884598359873498 times before.

I think they forget that my kids have ears and can hear them. And kids understand a lot ...

When people ask me if I own a TV I have started telling them "Of course I do, I am just very good at multi tasking." Then walk away while I let it sink in

This might seem like a strange one - but I am sick of people saying "oh, you're such a natural"
What does that even mean?!! ... I have no idea what I'm doing most of the time!

How long were you in labour for?

    Formula is easy

It must be hard for single mums

    How much does he weigh?

    He doesn't look Aboriginal

I used to get that all the time before I had kids, now no-one says it... They finally know the truth

Another I hate is "your first?" then the inevitable awkwardness when I tell the truth *sigh* Better the awkwardness than the response from one lady a couple of months ago - "well that doesn't count, it's not a real baby" Felt like a fricken real labor and looked like a real baby to me!

'what a handsome fella' -she is a girl.
' he is so smart' -yes, SHE is.
'Boys usually wear those colours, not girls!'
    ' still not walking?'
' why don't you just give her some cereal? She will sleep better then'
' you will be having her sleep in your bed when she's 18 if you don't get her out now'
' shes still breast feeding? Shouldnt you have moved to formula by now?'

    Ahhhh!!

Mine is the question that people ask DS - "Are you a good big brother? Do you love the babies??". The answer is yes, but what if I answered "Well, no he is actually pretty crap. He hates them - we have to hide the knives at night" ??

The other is similar to Det - "Awwww twins! 2 girls? (yes they are dressed in pink) Are they identical? Oh a girl and a boy then!" - (on hearing DD2's name - pretty sure you can't have identical boy and girl twins) Or when people either say to me sympathetically "It will get better love" and then accuse me of lying when I say they are really, really 'good' babies. And my super favourite - "Oh I'd kill myself if I had twins" - nah, you probably wouldn't...
