Is he transitioning to one day sleep?

DS is almost 11 months old, and in the past week his day sleeps have changed a bit.

DS usually has 2 day sleeps of 1.5-2 hours each, and is generally awake 3-3.5 hour betwee sleeps. However, just recently he has started waking after a short amount of time for his first day sleep. A few times it has been only 5-10 mins, this morning he slept 20 mins before waking. He awakes happy, though still tired. I've tried resettling him, but he refused to sleep again until an hour or two later. When he goes to sleep then, he'll usually sleep for 2-3 hours. By the time he wakes up, it seems pointless to try and get an extra sleep out pof him, cause he'd be going down around 5pm - seems to make more sense just to try and get him to bed early for the night.

It isn't every day, but it has been happening a bit just recently. Is this the start of him transitioning to one day sleep?

DS is a bad night sleeper, so I guess he's got to get his sleep some time, lol. Hopefully someone will come and give us an answer .

Bella did a very simular thing at about 9 months till about 11 months - she would have only on day sleep for about and hr and then would be in bed earlier. But not now.. she is now 13 months old and she now has 2 days sleeps of about 2+ hrs but will now go to bed latter at like 8.30 and will generally sleep through - all though with 2 molars coming through right now she is up at least once for a bottle and a snuggle with mummy and then back to bed and will sleep again til 8.00 - 9.00 in the morning.

Sorry that was my long winded way of saying that when I though that Bella was going down to one sleep her whole routin changed and its different now but better.

That really didnt help much huh! Sorry just our experiance!!
