I too would have said what Amy has. I couldn't have left my DD for that long. Your mum coming with you is a good idea. How often do they do these courses? Could you wait a few months and then do it? Breastfeeding may be difficult in that situation also as the first 6 weeks are very important for establishing it in regards to milk supply and suck reflex so it is suggested that you exclusively bf for this time.
