    Question What has your toddler eaten today?

    Just curious as to what/how much food other kids are eating?

    DS is two.. and I think he's not eating enough - but that could be my perception of it - he might be eating the same as others ya know? So I thought - well if I'm thinking that - maybe others are as well.

    So thought I could start this thread up to see if he is eating like a normal 2 year old or not

    So far today - he has had (and I won't be including milks and stuff - just food)

    1/2 an orange
    1/2 an apple
    1/4 of a pear
    1/4 tub of yoghurt
    1/2 vegemite sandwich
    3/4 malt biscuit

    .. just adding..
    2 slices of watermelon
    2 squares of rockmelon
    a mini rice cake thing

    hmm.. seems to be a lot of fruit...

    Miss C is being a devil of a child and has only eaten 3 sakata crisps and 2 salada biscuits with vegemite.

    She is refusing to co-operate and keeps throwing her food in the bin, so ive give up trying for food today.

    Um. Two corn thins, some apple bears, heaps of water, some pieces of ham...that's so far, he's in bed now, at lunch time he was kinda past it, so I decided a nap could take priority over lunch.

    A ryebread sandwich, heaps more water, risotto, ice-cream (yes, bad dairy, I forgot, and he ate dinner so well..anyone know about dairy free ice-cream?).

    3 weetbix for brekkie
    Slice of pineapple, couple of cracker, sultanas and cheese for MT
    Pasta for Lunch
    Sleeping atm but no doubt when he wakes up i'll get "im hungry mummy". Seriously eats like a horse, but when he was 2 he would have days of no appetite, they'll eat when they are hungry, but of course if your concerned chat to your GP.

    my DD1 has had

    1x piece of rasin toast
    1x piece of wholemeal toast with vegimite
    1x plum
    1x fruit stick
    1x ktime bar

    Havent had lunch but about to go to playgroup and we all take a plate of something savoury so she is bound to eat there.

    I find my DD eats none stop all morning then come mid afternoon to dinner and she wont eat a thing. I often worry about her going to bed hungry but she sleeps through so i guess she wakes hungry and thats why she consumes so much all morning.

    My DS is at FDC today so I know exactly what he will eat (he always eats it all up).

    Breakfast:
    two multigrain weetbix with 1/2 a bananna and milk

    At FDC:
    1 Mango
    Handful of grapes
    Small tub of yoghurt
    Last night's leftovers - a heap of veges with bolognese sauce and cheese on top
    Vegemite sandwich

    Afternoon tea and dinner:
    Because he eats so well during the day at FDC he usually just grazes all evening and eats bits and pieces of what we are eating.

    He only has water to drink, no milk, or juice, or anything, just water.

    Ummmm not much but she never does she can and will go without food all day when she wants to but I dont push her as I see it as though she will eat when she is hungery as my mother has always told me there isnt a chile in this world who will starve themselves they eat when they are ready and not one can make them do anything about it....

    Kai has had

    * two weetbix
    * banana cake ( about 1 piece )
    * 1/2 a jam sandwich
    * 1 icypole

    I am not really expecting her to eat much else today from what you have writen sounds like he is getting plenty of food I wouldnt worry about it too much ( I know easier said than done )

    2 Spoonfuls porrige
    2 pieces of pasta
    2 drinks watered down apple juice
    some bikkies and cheese
    1 mini icypole
    then daddy came home and she pilfered and entire can of lemonade from his lunchbox..ggrrr
    so the sugar in that should keep her going until pete knows when, I hope I can jam some sort of food in her for dinner.
    She usually eats all day, lots of fruit and sandies etc.

    Mel this is my nightmare at the moment. Since Jake has come home from hospital I am constantly stressing he isn't eating enough and his body will flick back into starvation mode, now he's sick again and the whole ride will start again.

    NORMAL healthy toddlers will eat when they are hungry so rest assured you seem to be doing a great job! Your wee man is eating heaps! When we are well Jake will usually eat:

    2-3 weetbix
    1-2 peices of wmelon, some grapes and rice crackers for morn tea
    vegemite or pnut paste sandwich lunch w fruit or yoghurt
    fruit - apple / w melon grapes - for anoon tea with some crackers
    usually a pice of toast at about 4pm
    dinner is whatever we have, and he has yoghurt after

    drinks water all day and has a diluted apple juice at lunch

    today:
    1 piece of toast
    small cup of apple pear puree
    1/2 pnut paste sandwich
    a few rice crackers

    3/4 honey sandwich

    a little bit of pasta bolegnaise

    Wow, that's alot for the day! She has been extra hungry lately!

    I know Zander is almost four, so a bit older, but today he has eaten:

    * 1/2 a nutella & sprinkle sandwich
    * Apple
    * 1/2 a cheese & sauce roll
    * Cheesymite stick (you know those 1-3 breadstick things)
    * 1/2 a dozen strawberries

    Tonight I'm hoping he will eat some past with peas, corn & cheese.

    Not a lot considering he runs around like a mad thing all day with loads of energy. I have no idea where he gets it from.

    Lunch he ate a handful of oven cooked chips and 2 nuggets

    that is it so far he did have a small bottle when he woke, and has just woken from nap and asked for milk we are talkign 120ml max bottles ...

    I am guessing he might have a bit more at tea time but who know with this boy, I have no idea how he can be 15kg when he lives on air and water oh yeah today he has had about 1 ltr of water

    Lexie has just finished dinner, so here is what she ate today:

    1 weetbix
    I slice vegemite toast
    I chunk water melon

    1/2 cheese sarnie
    Slice of fritz
    Handful of grapes
    Milk arrowroot biscuit

    breaded chicken tenderloin
    salad (probably 2 cherry toms and a couple of slices of cucumber?)
    2 big chunks of baked potato

    She no longer drinks milk at all, and also drinks no juice, just water.

    I might add that in a weeks time she can change her eating habits totally. And also that she is a tiny titch of a thing.

    Arimeh, how do you get him to eat all that fruit? My DS will only have some apple verrrry occasionally and some tinned pineapple even less than that...maybe a grape or two once a week!

    Today he has had:

    3 small cups of milk
    3 tubs of yoghurt
    half a small tin of salt reduced baked beans
    1 and 1/2 pieces of multigrain toast with butter
    half a cup of orange juice
    a few sips of fizzy mineral water
    a sip of Daddy's Sprite
    half of his homemade macaroni and cheese with spinach

    Not a very good day. We are rejecting meat, fruit and veg at the moment.

    Mel, sounds pretty good to me!

    Oskar has had part of a weetbix - half on the floor...lol
    Ummm about half a sandwich, some biscuits and he'll have dinner. I think it's just the hot weather that he's really not eating that much until dinner and he has a pretty good pigout then.

    They say kiddies won't starve themselves so don't stress
