awkward smile.... Ahhhh..... That's special mummy and daddy time.![]()
Moi - it's great to be prepared for the questions, but she probably won't ask for as much detail as you think at this age![]()
Good luck with your discussion, I'd be curious to see how you go. Of course she may have forgotten all about it and may not even be interested anymore

Thats pretty standardthat's why it's best not to freak out or over think the questions. Because most of the time the answers are simple. And they don't want more than that.
Now explaining to a 10 year old how people can get pregnant and not know, coz yanno they have to have sex right? (This is what she asked me) And when I explained that sometimes adults do it for fun and and not to have babies. She was can we say a little horrified lol.
I think the Petri dish truth would appeal to him more anyway
Ds started asking me at 2 when I was pregnant with dd. It has been a reoccuring question. I try to be honest about sperm from daddy joins with the egg inside mummy and a baby grows and grows. I'd get out my biology text book or look things up on google and show him diagrams of things. Lol, I'm my father's daughter.
I avoid sex or "penis and vagina" because I'm a little afraid he might get inquisitive about his penis and I don't want him to think maybe he could try something with dd. Although we have been very insistent it's something only adults do. But he has asked me several times if he can make a baby with me.
Obviously he is too young to understand why that would be terrible, or why it's physically impossible.
There are always going to be extra questions. Sometimes I just say "sorry, darling. This is one of those things you'll understand more as you get older."
