Gosh No!!!! LOL. If that makes me a bad mother because I can't wait to get away from them sometimes then so be it, I'll cop it on the chin. Seriously though, when they were little babies I didn't like to be away from them for too long at all, but as they got older I realised that they need the break away from me as much as I need it from them so there was never any guilt and I sure don't feel guilty for not feeling guilty LOL.
Not at all. I know how much I love my children. But to keep me insane, I need 'me' time as well. I am no longer working, but I still enjoy going out for coffee, for dinner, to see a movie etc. When I go out, I leave them in very capable hands of either their grandparents or other family members. So no, no guilt here either.
I completely understand how you feel. Although I'm still on maternity leave I absolutely LOVE getting out of the house & away from Moo when the opportunity arises! I've only been able to leave him a handful of times & it's just been the best thing to have a cuppa with a friend or see a movie without any interruptions. I've only ever left him with DH which means I'm not worried at all & enjoy my time "alone". I think Moo gets bored with just me too so we all win!
Don't feel guilty, sounds like you're doing a great job. You obviously trust who she's with & know that's she's having a great time with her Nana.
i have no issues leaving DD1 at her grandparents or at her daycare day a week at all, i get some peace and queit!! num,mum,mum,mum!!!
DD2 is a different kettle, she's yet to be babysat by anyone, i leave her and go out at night to visit friends when shes asleep to get some me time. i'm just not ready to leave her just yet
I have a 3mth old and have to go back to work (have already started) and whilst I miss her, I find it quite nice especially the drive home and there. Its my "me" time as I dont get this very often - I also leave her with her Nanny and go and have a coffee with my gf's I think without this I would go crazy...
