Sounds very normal to me. I didn't even leave the house for 3 weeks, so bub certainly didn't get much stimulation in those early days! I think just being born is such a massive thing it takes them a few weeks to recover!! At 9 days old I think I barely even saw her with eyes open (lol). You will notice they gradually have more awake time, but won't really be making eye contact for a few weeks. You wont even see a smile (reactionary smile anyway) until about 8 weeks.

The first 6 weeks is the hardest, because you honestly don't get much back from all that hard work (apart from staring at your gorgeous new bubba when sleeping). I didn't even think about a routine until 12 weeks. The first 3 months is just about survival...so do whatever gets you through!
