I do exactly the same as you hun. I think they are the weird ones![]()
As a little baby DS was bathed every second day and because he was a spewy baby he had a change of clothes a couple of times a day. Now that he is 15 months old he has a bath/shower pretty much every day. He gets a fresh pair of clothes daily and wears his PJ's to bed for 2 nights (unless they get food/dirt/spewed on) before they go in the wash. His sheets get washed every 3 or 4 days now.

DD usually kept her jim jams on under her day clothes when she was little - too cold in our house at the time! we'd change her into clean jim jams if she got grotty during the day, or at night before bed. bath was whenever it was needed - sometimes every second day, sometimes daily, sometimes more than once in the day. she preferred showers with us until she was about 18 months old though...
thanks everyone. The major reason they had against changing clothes so frequently was the extra washing. Little do they know that my evil plan is to wash as many loads daily as I can of clothes, nappies, towels etc so that my horrid washing machine dies an unnaturally early death so I HAVE to get a new one!!
ah! clever!
Yeah. I'm not sure how you can avoid bathing a 5 year old at least once a day. My 4 and 5 year old certainly need it.
I've lost track of how many loads of washing I've done today, but DD3's portion of that is pretty insignificant.
Don't think it matters as long as the baby isn't sitting in heavily soiled clothing and is clean and happy![]()
Bathed and changed as needed. Not often bathed but clothes everyday unless...not sure what but I know they sometimes wore the same close for 24hrs max as tiny babies.
Then all of a sudden it seems you change and bath them 2-3tines a day. NONE of them wear the same pjs twice. I reckon I don't wear the same undies two days running why pj pants????
I love washingnot
It's 'Anything Goes' at our place. Change their clothes daily, but bathtime/s for bubs and the older kids depends on how dirty they are, if we've just got in the door and they need to get to bed asap, how tired we all are...
I was lucky enough to receive 3 lots of hand me downs for DD, so I'm trying my best to get her in the new and second hand stuff before she outgrows it. DS1 wasn't so lucky and he was the spewiest of the 3 kids.
Having read all of the replies, I'm now wondering if I'm weird. I don't have designated p.j's or 'day clothes'. DD wears the onesies during the day b/c they're easier to do up and I don't have to bother with socks etc.
I work at a primary school and it seems more common for kids to bathe a couple times a week than it is for them to bathe daily. I find this odd because they're usually all muddy, covered in paint, texta etc.
Forgot to add my kids never make it 24hrz without needing a clothes change anyway lol. DD has pajamas and day clothes DS stays in his night clothes till I get a chance to put him in day clothes. Dd has shower twice a day because only way o can keep her contained while I shower.
Dd1 and ds were always changed about three times a day as they chucked and were always washed without fail daily, dd2 had reflux and tummy pains but no chucking so she hated being changed so usually only once a day occasionally she would stay in the same ones for 24 hours. I couldn't imagine keeping them in the same clothes longer as others have said we feel yucky so kids are probably the same? Dunno but it seems wrong to keep them in the same ones for a couple of days just to save on washing!
My boys rarely lasted a whole day in a newborn outfit - they always seemed to get covered in dribble/spew/poo. I also bathed them every night before bed, as part of their bedtime routine (still do!). But I do have other friends who only bathe newborns (and change clothes) every few days.
We've has a BIG changing day - enormous pooplosioons and a big chucky session so the count so far is outfit no. 5, 1 bath for her and a shower for both of us. Oh, and second lot of clothes for me except for shirt and bra which is up to the third of each. Hmmmm. Not the best day!!
Always bathed DS at night to calm before bed, but only used soap every 2nd day. We changed him at least once a day. Now he had pjs at night, and change to day clothes in morning. Pjs get used until they are dirty or every 3 days.

My girls always got a daily bath as they were poo-ers and spewers hence they also had multiple costume changes during the day. Combined with cloth nappies the washing was pretty full on.
These days they can wipe themselves pretty well and don't get too filthy (apart from hands and face) so they only have a bath every second night.
