I ended up with the Kompressor Caprice, can't comment to much on it as DD is only 10 weeks old. I love it, great padding, spacious and slim. They seem very accommodating for extended RF
The new ones out 0-8 years seem to be quite popular.
The Neons and Kompressors are really good seats, lots of people in car seat groups/pages love them. They will RF to an average 30 month old, but, the 0-8s only RF to about a 6-9 month old.
I have recently purchased the neon for my DS 18mnths and he still comfortable is well under the line with the padding still in. He still falls asleep in the car so it must be comfy enough! i am about to buy the equivalent "infa cosi compact" if i can get it in stock at the store for sale price. (need it for DH car) I agree the padding isnt ideal for a new born but we would use our other SNS Meridean for a new born so wasnt an issue for us.
i think i have read somewhere you could use the Kompressor inserts for the neon is that right? and can you even buy the inserts on their own?
I've got a Neon that I had to get DH to purchase sight unseen in NSW as we don't have them here in the NT.
I wish I'd gotten the Kompressor to compare and then returned it later.
The Neon is VERY upright, even in it's fully reclined position.
It is a total PITA to get DD2 into. We have a 4WD and I have to unclip the top tether over one side of her seat every time and tighten it every time. Because the seat is so upright the tether is so high I can't lift her over it without clonking her head.
On the upside it's comfy, easy to clean and DH can put his seat fully back and doesn't tough her seat. I had to take the bottom padding out to be able to fit her into it though. She was over the height markers with it in. She's about 85cm tall. A smaller babe should have no trouble.
The Kompressor is exactly the same as the Neon Kim, except it has a narrower base for easier installation if needing 3 acoss and the Kompressor has the extra padding.
I have a Kompressor and I hate the top tether too! Not only do you have to loosen it but when you tighten it one side seems looser than the other which wouldn't be so bad in a sedan, but I have a wagon which makes it harder to fix.
It is very upright in a lot of cars, mine included, which will be good for the older bubs and toddlers You can use a rolled up towel under the seat to adjust the recline for a really young baby too.
I do love the seat though apart from the top tether issue and the padding is really nice for newborns and little babies but I find it a PITA getting them in. Once they are in it's great so far comfy and sturdy
Rosetti I think for me it's because in my car the tether is at my head height, so I either have to lift her over or squeeze her under if I don't undo it. I also think it has to do with the angle of the seats in your car too.

You can use a rolled up towel under the seat to adjust the recline for a really young baby too.
