I think it sounds like you are doing a fantastic job too, and you know your own bub, what works for you, and that all is going well. I'm sorry you've had so many negative encounters and judgements I saw a onsie online the other day that had 'My Mum doesn't want your advice" printed across the front of it. Think we could both do with one for our bubs!
