If it feels to you that you are doing the wrong thing - you probably are!! LOL
Is there any specific reason why you are moving her? We moved DS when he was 2 weeks as he was the noisiest sleeper and kept us awake with his snoring!! We had DD1 in with us until she was about 3/4 months I think, and DD2 is in with us now - and we have no plans to move her out (don't even have the cot assembled.. hehe)
We do it when it feels right - or if we have to to get some sleep!
Do what you feel is right. DS slept in a cot right beside my side of the bed until we moved to a house where only a doorway separates us. We were never good at actual co-sleeping as DS likes to sleep sideways lol. But having the cot right there was just as good. If there are other reasons (eg you or your partner smoke) then moving them into their own bed/room may be the right thing to do.
i guessmy reason for moving her is pretty stupid..
i want to put all the bassinet sheets and blankets awayi KNOW im terrible it is such a selfish reason...
your right, it doesnt feel right, i think ill leave her with us for a little while longer
we moved DS coz he was butting his head on the bassinet and he was a very noisy sleeper hes already started head butting the cot i'll have to geta cot bumper for him
We didn't move her until she was 13 months... it just didn't feel right. I agree with Arimeh, if it doesn't feel right then it's not We got a lot of pressure from others but its not them who needs to not only feel what you feel, but also have to get up and trudge down the halls every night to get to your DD.
DD is in with us - currently starts the night in her bassinette and then ends up in our bed at some point during the night. I love it... and am now considering trying to convince DP to dis-assemble the cot and relocate it into our room so she can stay with us... she is starting to outgrow the bassinette
Either that or I will move into her room with her - there is a double bed in there that I can move to be next to the cot
