    poor little thing!
We had the vapouriser in ds's room when he was sick with eucalyptus oil in it (all from chemist) and that made a huge differance. you can also get sailine drops/spray for babies to help clear there nose if its hard to breathe. I found the chemist to be really helpful so maybe speak to them and see what they think.
All the best, i hope she feels better soon.

    Kate,

I would just use the water to start with cause the eucalyptus can cause further issues. If you want to try the eucalyptus, I would try when she is a little better to make sure she is ok with it (and others would say not to use it all)

    Thanks Jamakin & Heather!

She has gone to bed now with no fuss and asleep within 5 mins.. I hope she can get a good night and start to fight the sickness.

I put some baby balsam on her chest as well so I hope that clears her nose a bit. I have been using the fess and aspirator during the day to try and clear some gunk.

I will pop into the chemist tomorrow and see what they say.

    Thanks again ladies

My dd is going through the same right now. 9 days and still counting I took her back to the GP yesterday who was concerned and sent us to the hospital, we were there for 7 hours and had xrays and bloods checking for pneumonia but they were clear so we were sent home with the advice to keep breastfeeding and panadol if she was miserable. And to look out for dehydartion but shes feeding well and having lots of wet nappies and her skin is good. Today she is much brighter but still sounds like darth vader every time she breathes

One thing that has helped Aimee at night was raising the end of her bed. I just keep offering her feeds and lots of cuddles. I have a velcro baby at the moment. It breaks your heart when they are sick and you can't fix. My only other avice would be to look after yourself and sleep when you can, forget the dishes and dirty clothes

    hope she gets better soon

poor little possum. DD is really sick here too.

A vaporiser is the BEST THING!!! i have it going all day and night in her room (our room). if i didnt, she wouldnt sleep coz she cant breath. I add eucalyptus to our and sometime the Vicks extra strong inhalent (from the chemist) which smells devine.

get better soon bubba girl xoxoxo

Oh thats no good, poor Bella. My DS had bronchiolitis 5 times in 2 years before it was finally diagnosed as asthma. If she gets too bad you can take her into a steamy bathroom (close the door and turn the hot water on so the room goes steamy). If she gets sick of drinking water you could always try dialuted juice for a bit of flavour. I would maybe steer clear of giving her too much dairy (aside from her milk bottles) cause it might make her more phlegmy.

    Good Luck xx
