need advice

dd is 11 months and 1 week now, she has just started to walk and is beginning to learn to get up by herself when she falls, only thing is last week she had her first fall and left a cut on her cheek-jus as it was healing great, she decides to fall again today against the wall and opened the would slightly again, even when i was holding on to her. Now im so paranoid! how do people cope? do you always hold their hand? I feel i always have to spend so many hours holding onto to her tshirt when she walks as she feels so confident she doesnt want to hold mummys hand anymore she can walk pretty well like maybe 10 steps and then a fall, sometimes she falls straight backwards and hits her head instead of falling on her bum first-when she falls i let her fall put sort of hold on to her a bit so the fall isnt as hard.....does anyone have any other ideas or what do you do when your toddler is first walking?
