ooh ouch!! Im always scared I'll cut DD's finger she is so wiggly, and always tries to grab the clippers with her other hand!

If it is still bleeding I would be taking him to emergency if you can, I don't know if a doctor in a clinic would be able to stitch him up there if he needed it?
For the record I would probably change the band-aid too, they get a bit icky after a while anyway!

DS wiggled and I cut his finger once. I ALWAYS use teeth now! But his bled and bled and bled for almost an hour, soaking through 3 plasters... I ended up calling NHS direct, but by the time they got back to me he was asleep and had stopped bleeding. But they said over half an hour of proper constant bleeding would be a worry, especially if the child was still distressed by it.

oohhhhh I have done that - twice in fact and always the same finger no matter how careful you are, accidents happen particularly with little squirmers.
I just pop DD bleeding finger in my mouth once she has calmed down then apply firm pressure for as long as she lets me. I don't use bandaids despite the amount of bloodloss as it really doesn't take too long for her clotting mechanism to kick in.
Hoping your little man is ok today
