I was feeding Mr I this morning when i heard DH say "You scratched me, that's it I'm cutting your nails" I heard him go to the bathroom, then take DS1 into his room, then screams - He'd used the toenail clippers and DS1 was thrashing about & he cut his thumb. Blood everywhere. We eventually got some band-aids on it, held down with elasoplast & DH spent the whole day treating DS - he had chocolate, we went to the Ginger Factory, bought him a car (to go with the thousand he's already got) & bought him a gingerbread man.

Thing is, in the 3 1/2 years of his life DH has never cut DS's nails, I've always done it (using baby nail clippers or sissors) sometimes with DH's help to hold him, sometimes on my own.

We also had a disagreement about changing the band-aid - DH thinks you don't need to change them if they get wet & I do. We changed it tonight and it bleed heaps when we took the band-aids off. I'm concerned its really deep - its hard to tell through the blood and the struggling & we need to take him somewhere (doctors?) to get stiches or at least some sort of better bandage.
