    Night terrors?

What age do they start at? Ds wakes up screaming mist mornings and then we get him back to sleep but he's only almost 9 months and it's a new thing

From memory, our DS started after he turned 1. Sorry, I can't remember exactly. I remember the handout that the MCHN gave me said that they will tend to stir a couple of hours after going to bed at night and aren't properly 'awake'. Our DS screamed and cried and didn't really respond to us when we spoke to him.

I'm not sure what time your little one is waking up? If it's in the morning, I'm not sure if this is a night terror? Does he respond to you and appear fully awake? It's so hard when they can't tell you what's wrong. Hope he outgrows this quickly and starts sleeping better for you

    Usually about 2 they start.

Earlier it can often be them becoming aware of their dreams but not know what they are. Morning would be very uncommon for night terrors too.

my DS has done this a few times as well lately and i think he is waking up cuz he is hitting himself in the side of the cot. i looked into night terrors as well and read they are usually around 3hrs from when the go down for sleep? so at that time of the morning i think it would be something else?
