Oh no! Why did i do that to my poor little baby :(

I feel like the worst mother in the entire world today. I left DS for the first time in the gym creche and i came back and found him absolutely hysterical! I have never heard him scream like that in his entire life, the poor little thing

He was clearly completely over stimulated, and the child carer had him in a rocker and was trying to rock him to sleep with her foot whilst looking after several other children at the same time.

By the time we go to the car DS was fine and blowing raspberries at me though, so i think he has forgiven me.

DD was also another bad strike today though, she is doing swimming lessons every day this week and she hates it so much that she just cries through the whole thing. Today i went outside to wait at their recommendation to see if she settles down a bit, but as soon as i came back in at the end it was like the world was ending

I hate making my children cry. Sorry, no real point to this post, just wallowing in my guilt.

Actually, your right. You just reminded me how i also used to get all upset when DD didn't cry when i left her, so i guess either way i am going to feel guilty! Hahaha..

Appletree I have just recently joined the gym too about a month ago and my DD did the same thing I almost quit the gym but I have perservered and now she is fine once she realised I was coming back I guess she relaxed a bit, I hear you though it was so hard and I felt like a selfish cow for wanting an hour of me time...hope it works out for you xx

Palmer never liked the gym creche either and I ended up pulling her out and not going to that particular class...had bad vibes from the staff and I didn't like it much either!

I'm sure he won't remember! As for swimming..I used to hate swimming too, but it is a very necessary life skill so I'm sure she will thank you for making her do it later on!

Our swimming teacher tells parents to wait outside too, must be something they learn at swim teacher school, but I fail to see how its going to calm the child down.

if it makes you feel any better... my DS just waved goodbye to me in fits of giggles as his nan took him with her to go and get us some lunch.

Obviously he loves me a great bunch! LOL.

When I leave ds somewhere (daycare, nanna - with someone he knows) I feel terrible for leaving him, heartbroken I can't spend the time with him. He goes on his way and calls out BYE! in a happy tone with his back to me. lol least I know he's happy

We had the same thing on friday night coming home after having had dinner out. DD just lost it in the car but there wasn't much we could do because we had another 20 minutes till we were home. We stopped the car twice for cuddles but it just made her worse - I think because she knew that she wasn't at home. I sat next to her in the back and sang nursery rhymes at the top of my voice but even THAT didn't calm her. I felt soooooo guilty!!!
