    Question Plane Trips .. Advice

Has anyone taken a 4 month old baby on a plane? I am concerned that her ears wont "pop" and she'll cry

I dont think they will let me breast feed her while we take off and land and she wont take a dummy.

    Any suggestions?

    Thanks
    Jen

They will let you breast feed, they will put like a seatbelt around her, that is attached to your seatbelt. SO she can easily lie and feed and still be secure. The feeding will make it better for her ears to pop.

At that age there is not much to give medicine wise, I always use demazin on my boys, the GP suggested it cause they have ear problems. We also fess them before we fly, you can do that at 4 months, it is just saline nose spray and this clears out the passages a bit so they don't get stuffed up.

Yep, we did a 10 hour trip with DD when she was four months - bf on take off and landing. It is a nice age for them to fly IMO - small enough still to fit into the bassinets and hopefully have a sleep if it is their nap time.....don't stress, it will be much better than what you are imagining.

I flew with my DD at 4 months from Syd to Perth and back. I BF on take off and landing, and she slept the whole flight both ways!!!! It was on Virgin and the flight attendants didn't seem to mind what I did as long as DD was in her seatbelt.
    Have a safe trip!
