Do you try to get his wind up after/during feeds?
It will be more likely for him to get wind on the bottle (regardless of whats in it) than on the boob because it doesn't create the same vacuum, so more air gets in. DS got a LOT of wind regardless, and the best way for me to get it out was to hold him upright, with his tummy against my chest, and rub his back.
some days it just seemed pointless, like no matter what I did it didn't get better, and other days would be brilliant.
The fact that he is farting, and can get it out that end is good! It would be worse if it didn't come out at all. You can also try massaging his tummy in circles (clockwise), or doing gently cycling motions with his legs while he is lying on his back.
