DS has sleeping bag and blankets (tucked in on one side) - if I need pyjamas and a 4-tog duvet, why should he be OK with only 2.5 togs? DS is good with blankets though, I go to bed and see him with his hands holding the blankets but some nights he has brought the blanket up to his face and pushed it away again (he does this in my bed too; I watch him pull a cover over to him then push it away). As he snores and talks in his sleep I don't worry unless he goes silent.
