Hey Hun,
Sorry not sure what to suggest other than yahoo! let DH put her to bed hehe thats not going work when he's not there but sortry just thought I would give you a reply and hopefully someone else will suggest something a bit better!
When I put DD (8.5mths) to bed during the day she continually rolls, sits and stands in her cot, however, when DH puts her to bed she goes straight to sleep. The only way I can get her to sleep is by holding her hip preventing her from rolling until she falls asleep - usually only takes a couple of minutes. Does anyone have any ideas on how to get her to go straight to sleep like she does for DH. I assume she thinks it is some kind of game, but I'm not finding it fun.
I did last week try to just let her be, hoping she would finally just fall asleep, but after 45 minutes she showed no sign of giving up (I was going in ever now and again and laying her down telling her it was time for sleep) so I layed her down held her hip and she was alseep within a minute.

They are so funny at this age, Jas and I have a little one's the same age so I know what you mean!
Bridee, you should join us at the Baby Buddies July 07 thread!
I wish I had the answer for you but alas I can only sympathise. My almost 2.5 year old does the exact same thing, only it takes me closer to 30 minutes, where DH gets the job done in under 5.
Bridee,
I wish DD would settle for my DH!! She associates DH as 'playtime' so it makes it a bit hard and slightly annoying when I am doing bed time and DH gets to laze around on the couch. Hope you find something that works soon!
Madeleine will do the whingey thing with me when my DP is at work some days and then stops when he comes home. Even when he's home some days (works shift work) and he just takes her all the time, she'll be so good with him. hahahaha, must be a mum thing is it???
Does BF? I have the same trouble with charlotte, she wil settle for my mum, DF and my sister (who shes only met twice!! lol) but not for me..
Then someon suggested it may be because she can smell the milk?
Dont know if its true, but it seems logical
