    She probably won't like the hard-soled ones for a wihle either - they're much harder to walk in I think.

    I had a cheap pair of pre walkers from Target for around the yard because it was winter when DD started walking. For out and about I got hard soled shoes because outside the playgroup fence delightful people like breaking glass bottles I went with the Betts airwalk ones because they are leather, very light and have arch support. They are also very foot friendly with the innersole. Saying that though, I rarely put shoes on her unless we are going out. At home she is barefoot 99% of the time
