I had a cheap pair of pre walkers from Target for around the yard because it was winter when DD started walking. For out and about I got hard soled shoes because outside the playgroup fence delightful people like breaking glass bottlesI went with the Betts airwalk ones because they are leather, very light and have arch support. They are also very foot friendly with the innersole. Saying that though, I rarely put shoes on her unless we are going out. At home she is barefoot 99% of the time
