    Sleep...

Or lack of, I should say. I am sooo tired! I can't believe this child's sleeping pattern. Ok so we've started giving her Rescue Remedy (Bach's) before bed time because in recent weeks you put her in her cot she SCREAMS the house down and I mean screams makes herself gag, the whole works. Now we give her the rescue remedy and there's barely a peep she goes to sleep. But every night at some point she's in our bed and I just can't take it anymore. I know there are a lot of women who co-sleep and that's great, I am not judging that at all, but for me personally I just can't do it! Dp is 6"4 as is and we only have a queen size bed and Ava is a bloody bed hog. We end up sleeping like a H most nights. My back is kiling me from being on the edge of the bed. If she wakes up before I go to bed like 11pm and it's not a simple as me going in and just giving her a rock and her going back to sleep, i'll get her up change her nappy and give her a drink and she'll go back to sleep. But come 1/2 am in the morning she's awake again and is just put back in our bed. Please tell me some ideas to help her sleep through. I've tried everything. Night lights, no day sleeps, one day sleep, baby massage, pushing her bed time back till 7.30 pm, reading before bed etc etc.. I need sleep please give me some ideas guys

    sleep issues suck.

I think (from memory) at that age Aricyn was having one day sleep at around 11.30 - and then going to bed at night at about 8.30. He's never been one to actually sleep through the night, but I've never had to change his nappy, or give him a drink or anything, just usually giving him back his dummy and a few pats and he would go back to sleep. It wasn't until he went into a big bed that he started climbing in with us around 5am. Now he cries for daddy at around midnight and comes into our bed until morning. Even though we have a KING size bed, its not big enough, cos he likes to be a bed hog too. Cracked it with him this morning cos he kept trying to sleep on my head!!!!! Darn kids. Its even worse when Miss M is having a rough night cos then she's in the bed too, and then I have to listen to DH whinge and complain about having no room, no doona etc... I just wanna sleep by myself sometimes.. lol..

So yeah - I totally get your need for sleep my friend

Maybe just take one routine that sort of semi worked well, and stick with that for some consistency for her? I found that if we just kept on doing the same thing over and over he would just go to sleep for most of the night..... until moving to the big bed that is!!!!
