for you hunny it does get better !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Abbie is going through a stage at the moment of hardly sleeping especially during the day, stick to it its just a phase!!!!!!!!!!
I just put Jesse in the cot with a bottle & left him. He's crying on & off & trying to get me to go back, but I don't want to give in. I'm so tired.
The last few days he'll feed to sleep then the second I either try to put him down, or he realises he's asleep he's up again & running around & refusing to sleep.
Its taking an hour or more of my laying with him each time, for him to wake up less than 15 minutes in. After 3 goes he might sleep.
I can't do anything while he's awake, coz he wants me constantly & I can never get anything finished. The second I start he wraps himself around my legs & cries til I pick him up.
I have a headache coz 1, I'm tired. He hasn't been going to bed til after 11 the last few nights, then is up at around 7. 2, coz I'm so frusterated & stressed with him.
I lay there feeding him, planning what I'm going to do once he's asleep, needing to get things done, for him to tae over an hour, then wake up again, then another hour & he might stay asleep.
He's still crying. Bri needs something to eat, I need a coffee & I wanna cry coz i feel guilty for walking away & leaving him to cry for the last 10 minutes or so.
I have no clean dishes, no clean clothes, I need a shower, there's rubbish, toys & Dora cards covering my loungeroom, chips smashed up all over the family room, a massive headache & he's still crying!!!![]()

Well nearly 2 hours later, he's finally asleep again...I'm almost scared to put him down!
I can get something done now...maybe even get dressed!!
Feel assured that he is in a safe place in his cot, ten minutes won't hurt him hun..
Some people say that the bubba can pick up on others anxiety which may cause them some extra unrest too, so take the time to have your coffee, get dressed etc and then go back to him hun.
Cyber hugs!
I feel your pain, my little fella is going through a bit of a rough patch too...it's such hard work when they won't sleep![]()
Hugs from here too....everything seems 100 times worse when theres lack of sleep involved. Hope yr lil one is just going thru a phase and it passes soon.....![]()
Well my house will pass for clean, & he's still sleeping!
Coffee is so much better when your desperate! I'm not dressed yet, & have about 5 loads of washing to fold, with more to come, but I feel so much better.
I don't so much mind the non sleeping part of it, its more that I have to be attatched to him so many hours a day. I reckon he'd spend a good 4 hours out of every day & night on the boob & there is already not enough hours in the day to get everything done.
I know he will get better, & he has just gotten over a tummy bug - still has the runs - I just stress too much, lol.
Life in general has been pretty hard lately, but its looking up again. For how long I don't know, but we are getting thereWhen you feel like everything sux, the littlest things get magnified x 100. Well for me anyway
Thanks for all the hugs & understanding guysIts so good to have people understand (unlike DH)!
have you a playpen ? WE have and we use it heaps.... they can play with toys and still see you so that way you can do things around the house without having a little monkey hanging off you .... remember 15 mth olds can be naughty as well...
Mine is 12 mths and i get the back arch and squirms you name it when he doesnt want to go to bed or nap .... i dont give in .. im the mum and he needs to rest and i need a break so sorry bub goes to bed!
9/10 times after a yelling match (he is yelling out i mean) he calms down and falls asleep
Yeah, I have a 7 & 4 year old.
DH will help when he gets home...well he'll have him while I cook dinner & shower anyway - weather he likes it or not! Nah, he isn't much help, but he knows if he wants dinner he's gotta do something.
I'd be happy for him to get some wood, light the fire & get me a bottle of coke, lol.
I think I'll just get some pizza for dinner tonight & try to make myself go to bed as soon as the girls go.
Sounds like a good idea Skye!
