DD is 3 months old and currently has her day sleeps in her Hushamok hammock but sleeps in her cot at night (10 hours straight). Strange sleeping arrangements you may think but it's for good reason. She suffers from silent reflux and struggled with day sleeps from about 5 weeks of age so when she was finally diagnosed at 10 weeks, we bought the hammock and she was put on Losec and we haven't looked back. Different baby with 24 hours!
Although I'm a firm believer of 'don't fix something that isn't broken', I must admit that I'm a bit scared of creating a rod for my back by continuing with the day sleeps in the hammock when she sleeps so well in her cot at night. We tried to get her down for her morning sleep (which is usually 3 hours) in the cot this morning but she wouldn't have a bar of it. After 45 minutes of unsuccessful attempts, we put her in her hammock and she was asleep within minutes. Hmmm
Should we just keep on trying the cot or should we just leave her be in her hammock and tackle the day sleeps in the cot when she outgrows the hammock?
TIA for any advice!
