When I first washed baby clothes it was just in hot water. I didn't think to wash it all in anything else. I washed second hand clothes in amolin or lux etc... but I moved the whole family to a greener product that doesn't have the nasties in it.

I use omo sensitive, our DS has eczema and we have found that it is fine on his skin, so all our clothes etc get washed in it. I have washed all bubs clothes with this as well.

We just use Omo Sensitive for everything now. My mum has some really cheap stuff she got when they bought their washing machine and DD got a rash after her clothes were washed in it when we were visiting. So now there is a special box of powder for her at grannys house!

My little boy has eczema so I have to use a powder that is enzyme and fragrance free. It has no ammonia, no phosphates, no chlorine, no optical whitners... it is plant and mineral based. It's called ECOSTORE. It doesn't have the nice smell that other washing powders have but his clothes feel squeaky clean, it's so nice to feel. I also use the NapiSan babycare for his nappies and whites.

i have used lux flakes with all 6 of my bubs till they are about 6 months old i must say i was told to by my mum as thats what she used for all us and to be honest sometimes one or two of his things will go through the normal wash and he has never got a rash so i could probably use normal wash powder but the small of lux is so nice and just reminds me of new born babys and yes you do have to mix it with hot water and make sure it is desolved the about once a month i do a hot was to get rid of ant build up in the machine and hoses

I just use normal Aldi powder. I don't use fabric softner though. I wash Oliver's laundry separately to ours, mostly so I don't loose his baby socks.

Planet Ark AWARE Sensitive Skin - use it because it's good for grey water, and good for bubs skin. I just about half a tablespoon in the wash and it gets even the poopiest of nappies clean!
