For newborn/infant I usually just use the johnsons baby shampoo.
When DD turned about 1 I think i started using something more "fun", she picked a fun looking kids shampoo/conditioner in the supermarket & it was her "big girl" shampoo. We still use them but sometimes I put some conditioner in after I've washed her hair.
I think you just use what you like, I havent asked anyone else what they use but I do know my twin sister uses the same shampoo/conditioner (Dora) for her 5 yr old daughter as i do for my 3 yr old Daughter.
With DD I used Jurlique Baby Shampoo for the first 18 months (it was a gift - I didn't buy it!!) as she was born with a LOT of hair. Now I use the same shampoo and conditioner as I do for myself. It's an organic one. I have to use conditioner as at 2.5 years old her hair is halfway down her back and it's curly so you can imagine what would happen if I didn't use it.
I would only ever use sulfate (SLS) and paraben free products on any of my family, especally a baby.
I have always used shampoo and conditioner on DD - when she was a baby i used Alchemy fragrance free shampoo and macadamia and wheatgerm conditioner, now we all just use sukin.
I use J&J kids tangle free shampoo.
Mainly coz its no tears & I have enough problems convincing DD2 to let me wash it.
If I don't have it I use both, but it's not really necessary to use conditioner I dont think.
Oh my goodness - we have just been using the Huggies baby wash with Shea Butter on her hair -never even thought about using a separate shampoo! She has a bit of hair too!
I used to use the same soap i used to wash her too but it made her hair really straw like so started using shampoo. Her hair is really fly-away though so i was thinking conditioner would make it less like that, do you think?
I use the natural instincts baby shampoo and conditioner. With Matilda's hair she didn't need much until she was 2-3 just the bath wash. With Jovie she has really fuzzy hair and its heaps flyaway. So I use the shampoo in the bath & then conditioner... sometimes we do leave in the conditioner sometimes we rinse it out. I also use my defrizz stuff on Jovie's hair....
Matilda gets shampoo but not much conditioner because she still doesn't need it as much.
I just use shampoo on DS's hair. I looked at the shampoo & conditioner in one but decided against it....... I remembered that 2 in 1 shampoos have been known to cause trouble as they strip the hair a lot so I assume the baby ones would be the same.
we had J&J hair shampoo but its shocking for cradle cap so swapped to the jurlique (gift as well awesome stuff) and now Gaia, i use all their products, which are great! no conditioner
