My Step-SIL has 4 boys and they have been progressively smaller!

DS1 - 7.14lb 39w 5 days
DS2 - 8.14lb 40w 1 day
DS3 - 7.10lb 39w

DD1 3.75kg @ 39 + 6
DD2 4.53kg @ 40 + 4

Mine got bigger

It's really something that is totally random. There is no way of knowing if a subsequent baby will be bigger than the others. I wouldn't worry about it - what will be will be and if you've gotten a baby out that big before, then you can do it again.

I know its random... I know there's no way of predicting... that's why I asked for anecdotes!

I have complete confidence in my body to do its thing, TBH my labour with DS and his actual birth was much better than my labour with DD and her birth!

If you just want anecdotes then my third was bigger. But my second was smaller. My midwife at the time said 2nd bubs are generally bigger if they are a boy, but can be smaller if they are a girl - which she was. Then my 3rd was bigger and my 4th was bigger again. They were 4.18, 3.85, 4.32 and 4.56

DS 3.57kg
DD2 3.3kg

All born a few days shy of 40 weeks. First birth (my smallest baby) was very difficult, obstructed labour, failed ventouse, forceps delivery and an episiotomy. Second delivery was easier with a small tear, third bub pretty much fell out with a couple of pushes, minor tear.

DD2 - 2900g at 37+6
DD3 - 2971g at 38+4
